This is intended to be a casual meetup of like-minded people who are looking for interesting conversation. I have always thought that it would be great if people would hang out in coffee shops in Syracuse and enjoy talking with whoever they happen to run into. Syracuse isn't there yet, but hopefully this will be one small step in that direction.

We meet at the Little Theater Cafe the 1st. Saturday of the month, sometimes mid-month, see a movie, and go out for food and conversation afterward. This is a conversation group that sees interesting movies to spark conversations. We occasionally do other events like film festivals, strawberry and blueberry picking in the summer.

This group is for people in the Syracuse, NY area that speak French and are interested in the culture and language of the French-speaking parts of the world. We will establish a new meetup for discussion of classic and contemporary Francophone literature if there is enough interest. In order to give members plenty of time to read each book, we are currently thinking of meeting every six weeks to two months.
