The Eugene Tall Club isn’t really a club, in the sense of having members or dues or a secret handshake. It’s just an opportunity for tall people to meet as informally as possible. Being tall is hardly a cause for suffering. (If anything, tall people tend to get preferential treatment.) but being tall can be isolating. Conversations go on at your chin and strangers have been known to stare… when they aren’t asking you how tall you are.
